Our History

From a Dream to a Dynasty

Golden Star Academy was founded in 1985 by Dr. Tin Maung Win, a passionate educator who believed that every child in Myanmar deserved access to a world-class education regardless of their background.

What started as a small primary school with 6 classrooms and 120 students on University Avenue has grown into a sprawling 40-acre campus serving over 1,240 students across 13 grade levels.

Over four decades, GSA has produced government ministers, surgeons, engineers, artists, and Olympic athletes – all united by the golden values instilled during their school years.
